Dr Photolo

Dr Mokoena Photolo was the first recipient of our bursary programme in 2002, allowing him to complete his degree in medicine.

Today Dr Photolo runs his own medical practice, offers pro bono care to orphans and is establishing a drug rehabilitation and community centre for the youth.

He continues to volunteer his time to fieldwork in rural AIDS clinics and is supporting his sister through her PhD in Genetics.
