Dr Brigalia Bam is a prominent gender activist and brings her passion for the upliftment of young women to the deliberations of the board. She is the Chancellor of Walter Sisulu University, a former Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission and former General Secretary of the South African Council of Churches. She was recently awarded the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi International Award for Peace and Reconciliation.
